PENNY FOR YOUR THOUGHTS MR. LINCOLN
MAP OF IDAHO COUNTIES
Find a penny pick it up and all day you'll have good luck. I'm not Bill Gates so I tend to pick up pennies. From the floor,
under the car seat, behind the sofa cushion. No matter how good or bad my day is going, I pick it up.
Right above President Lincoln's head are the words: IN GOD WE TRUST. What a great reminder. We can work hard, gather
our strength and together we can move the ball down the field. We are working through the end of the Lincoln Day schedule
and you have to admit it is interesting.
There are many people working on many campaigns. Elected officials and candidates are making the rounds. Many do not
have a statistical chance of winning in the primary election. Others will work harder to obtain the support that they had
last time around.
I look forward to meeting with more of the campaign staffs and workers. When their candidate is done it will be nice
to know who the workers are and combine their strength and enthusiasm after the primary and working towards the general election.
We are going to need everyone. How many of us are willing to work for our party nominees? How many of us are willing
to raise funds and work to put Republicans into office? If you do not like the party nomination coming out of the primary,
is it possible you did not do enough to get your candidate elected? I have worked on campaigns where the person I supported
did not win in the primary. The day after I put the winners bumper sticker in my back window and went to work just as hard
as if my candidate had won.
That's how I view my responsibility to the party. Now is the time that we work for those we believe are the best candidates.
After May 27th, we work for our party. Right?
