ON TUESDAY AUGUST 8, 2006.
U.S. CONGRESSMAN C.L. "BUTCH" OTTER AND FRIENDS SALUTE TO AMERICA & THOSE WHO SERVE WAS DONE
"THE COWBOY WAY"
IN FRONT OF ENTHUSIATIC, FLAG WAVING, AMERICANS THAT JOINED BUTCH IN CELEBRATING AMERICA AND SAYING A NOISY RED, WHITE,
AND BLUE "THANK YOU" TO GIRL SCOUTS, BOY SCOUTS, 4-H, COPS, FIREMEN, NURSES, U.S. MILITARY ACTIVE, GUARD, AND VETERANS!
THIS FREE EVENT GAVE THE PUBLIC AN OPPORTUNITY TO SPEND TIME WITH ONE OF IDAHO'S MOST GENUINE LEADERS. TOM LUNA, DONNA
JONES, SHAWN KEOUGH, AND OTHERS JOINED BUTCH ON STAGE TO CELEBRATE AMERICA AND HONOR A WONDERFUL GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO SERVE
THEIR COUNTRY AND THEIR COMMUNITY.
THE "SPIRIT OF THE EAGLE" AWARDS WERE PRESENTED TO INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS EMBLEMATIC OF THEIR ENTIRE ORGANIZATION
OR PROFESSION.
Thank you Clyde for supplying the stage trucks when our original commitment disappeared the morning of the event. Thank
you Dan at Evergreen Towing for going the extra mile to ensure we would have a stage and riser. Thank you Donny Cox for the
use of a trailer too. John Elsa, J.E. Electric LLC, saved the day when he arrived to pull down power for the event - above
and beyond the call of duty! Thanks to Don Moore for hooking up the sound so efficiently. Guitar Center for the deep, deep,
discount and quality gear. Thank you Phillip and Jason for all your hard work and especially on the 15 x 25 foot flag. Litehouse
for the dips and dressings and tents. You're the best! Bonnie Johnson for being our food wrangler. Stevie Baby, Duane,
and George Eskridge for mounting flags to the arena. Thank you Sandpoint Lions Club for the use of the flags. KCRCC gets
a special nod for supplying so many handheld flags. Huge hug and handshake to Rhonda Livingstone and Bob Snider for so much
extra effort so close to Rodeo and Fair time.
